Through many years’ experience in managing large and small buying teams, I have a proven track record for delivering significant sales growth and profitability for the company. By engaging the teams within the product category we successfully achieved Team of the Year and delivered an annual growth of +30% per year over 5 years.

With experience of managing teams globally I can assist in understanding the dynamics of remote managing and cultural differences as well as the continual struggle to balance global versus local management.

By influencing a strategy for change and ensuring full comprehension I have been instrumental in increasing category turnover by over 35%. By reviewing the supplier/brand database and terms and conditions I can support the necessary changes and practises.

Having a passion for innovation and newness I have led various projects to create new store concepts either from initial idea or from an existing brand but with a new exposure.

From the world’s first award winning ‘Surf Shop’ in Manchester to the creation of ‘Sunglasses Boutique’ I have delivered to retail over budget sales in new themed stores. With my background in both buying and retail operations I can advise you on not only the products for retail but the mechanics required for successful trading.

With existing brands such as Pandora I was able to find a win win solution for the brand and the company to create five extremely successful pop up stores across UK airports delivering sustainable growth and enhanced exposure for the brand.

Within the life cycle of any brand it is always a challenge to sustain growth within a static environment, I can advise on different routes to market and whilst keeping the customer as the key focus deliver new and exciting prospects to increase turnover. Linking back to strategic buying it is important for suppliers to understand the buyer’s requirement and what the focus on presentations should be, what will make an impact and what will help to acquire improved distribution, my experience will help share the ‘buyers perspective’.

To give a longer perspective view to your business and be able to react as and when necessary as the opportunity arises I can work with you on a retainer basis allowing you the flexibility to plan the workload and for me to manage my time for your projects. This option gives us both the opportunity to dive deeper into the business and plan strategic growth over time.

Where there is a need for extra support for a particular project with a supporting time frame I can work with a ‘project fee’ which can be flexed according to time scale and scope of the project.

Depending on the project or task I can be flexible to start with a consultation and move into long term partnership arrangement based on incremental sales.
